On April 29, Michael Krauss will join us to conduct a workshop Spicing Up Your Lessons: A Dash of Multimedia Content With Your Hot Potatoes (HP)

Reading 1- is a review from LL&T Journal of the Hot Potatoes program. The review outlines the program and stresses that HP can be very useful for language aquisition if focus is on content and collaboration. Article is older (2001) and some links are out of date, but is is a good overview.

Reading 2 - is a page that includes some interesting uses of HP, many of which incorporate audio and video. Some links are not functional, but there is a good variety.

Reading 3 - is a tutorial that is on the HP Web site, written by the program's authors. It deals with how to write a good multiple choice exercise.
