Over To You!

Dear "Shaping" participants,

We are quickly approaching the dates we have scheduled for each of you to present at the American Center.  There are two important issues to cover: guidelines and schedule.

Please sign up for the date that best suits you.  This is on a "first come, first served" basis.  You have the option to present alone or together with one of your course-mates.  You are welcome to respond via email or at our next class on April 15.

 Procedure:

1. Choose one of the "Shaping" themes from one of the modules.  You can use a theme that has already been covered, such as "integrating skills" or "authentic materials" or choose a completely new theme, such as "young learners" or "learning strategies".

2. Create one or two activities for teachers that will demonstrate this theme.  The activities should require active participation.   No talks please!  You will have 15 to 20 minutes.

3. Share a short description of the activity by posting it on the group's wiki page: http://shapingthewayinmoscow.pbwiki.com/  Please ask for help with this if needed.  You can find an example of such activity for "integrating skills" on the wiki.

4. Toni and I will be time-keepers.  Please also let us know ahead of time if you would like any feedback on your session.  We would be happy to find some time to sit down with you afterward to discuss your mini-workshop.

 Sincerely,

David and Toni
