Who we are!

It's easy to add your info here!  First, Click on "Edit page".  Enter the Invite Key (sent to you by email), your name, and email address (this information can only be seen by other people with the key.)

Once you're on the Editing page, just add your introduction immediately following these directions (so newest entries appear first).  Dress it up anyway you'd like - a different font, different color letters, etc.  Try adding a picture (but be sure to reduce the size).  When you're ready, click on "Save" at the bottom.  That's it!  Just one caution:  Whatever you add in this section can be seen by anyone who visits our wiki (so it's probably best to not put your email address here).

I am Galina Malysheva, Ph.D. in Economics, Associate Professor at Tourism&Hospitality Management Department of Russian Economic Academy named after Plekhanov. Graduated from The Moscow State University (MSU-Lomonosov), Department of Economics.  I am interested in international experience of teaching Quality Management, Supervision, Business Communications, as I am lecturing on these subjects. Teaching methodology, new ways of communication in course of teaching attracted me to attend the “Shaping Way”. It is especially valuable now to implement the Internet into the teaching practice. For the conclusion let me say almost at the end of the Course: it was excellent!!!  I really enjoyed the ART OF METHODOLOGY by our dear TEACHER Mr.DAVID FAY!!!   02 June 2008.

Hello colleagues! I'm Olga Boltneva, teacher and teacher-trainer of English. Presently I teach pupils of different grades at school 57.

Teaching English is my life style. I love literature and arts. In MELTA I'm not only vice president, but I also run the SIG on English and American literature. I've been teaching English and American literature and Country Studies since I started my work at school. And I'm doing it now at school 45 as a separate subject. I always use poetry in any class I teach. I adore travelling not only abroad but also around our vast country. Best wishes to you all!

I am Tatyana Kobzina.  I work as an ELT (teacher) at Moscow State Regional University.  I've enrolled in this course because I would like to keep up with the latest trends in Methodology.  It's a good way of mutual collaboration and sharing ideas.  Encountering native professional experts is both beneficial to my work and personal development.  I am a committed and enthusiastic teacher who needs constant coaching and guidance.

Hi there! My name is Marina Belousova and I work at school number 57 in Moscow. My current area of intrest are young learners. Nevertheless I am really interested in learning and discovering new trends in ELT regardless student's age and level. Besides teaching I am really keen on extreme sports and everything devoted to Arts.

Hello, I'm Elena Doroshenko, Ph.D. in Linguistics, Assistant Professor at the Chair of English Lexis, MPSU (Moscow Pedagogical State University). I specialize in Sociolinguistics, and am quite sure that understanding between both people and peoples very much depends on the language. My personal motto is, "peace is successful communication"...

Hi everybody! I'm Alena Pavlova. I am senior teacher of English (and everything that is linked to it, like Business English, Country studies, Linguistics, Phonetics, Grammar, Speech Practice, Home Reading, etc.) in Moscow State Univeristy for Printing Arts. I also have an English Club of my own, which I created in order to help people relax and feel joy speaking English =) We watch movies, sing songs, play lingustic games, talk to native speakers and what not! =) I greatly enjoy both - teaching and learning.

Hallo Everybody! I am Andrew Simakov. I teach English in the Moscow State Academy of Fine Chemical Technology (МИТХТ) and part-time at school, so my students are from age 10 to 20. I think my approach is to regard juniors as seniors - and seniors as juniors. Also - this course is such a wonderful opportunity to learn and exchange ideas and speak English!

Hi! I'm Irina, a secondary school teacher from Moscow (Zhulebino). I've been teaching in school 1738 since 1994. I have students of different ages (levels from beginner to upper-intermediate). Besides teaching, I'm really in for gardening. It helps me to relax.

Hi! I am Tatyana. I am a secondary school teacher and teacher trainer from Khimki. I've been teaching at a school which I finished. As a MELTA member I am a co-ordinator of Computer Assisted Language Learning Section. I am interested in Internet resources for teaching English at school.

Hello, my name is Galina Gumovskaya. I work at two establishments of higher professional learning - Moscow Pedagogical State University and Moscow Institute for the Humanities and Arts. For more than ten years I have been teaching English grammar, both its practical and theoretical aspects. My students are future teachers and interpreters. While in classroom, I am not only to teach but to learn. I try some new approaches, and rely on my students' feedback to let me know how they work. Some other spheres of my academic interest are Functional Styles and Languages for Specific Purposes.

Hello, I am Elena Markova. I teach English and methods of teaching foreign languages and cultures in Moscow Pedagogical State University and the Institute for the Humanities and Arts. My students are future teachers of English. Happily, my hobby and my profession are the same: they are learning and teaching.

Hi!  I'm Toni Hull, an ESL/EFL teacher from the USA.  Right now I'm teaching Business and General English here in Moscow, but I've also taught Academic English in universities in Morocco and China and Adult English Classes in the USA.  When I'm not teaching, I'm usually at home with my husband Vladimir and our black Lab, Jasper.

Hi, I'm David Fay, the English Language Officer at the US Embassy in Moscow.  I began teaching EFL while I was a student in Spain light years ago, and then taught in the US, Costa Rica and Turkey.  I have taught middle school students, university and adult students, artists, businessmen, politicians, refugees and prisoners.  I am interested in the grey area in which visuals, student-generated stories, drama and IT all come together and adore language for its ability to access other cultures, personalities, and even one's self.
